Educational concepts have changed radically over the last few decades, particularly with regard to how children treat their own bodies. This can be seen in the sector of education/empowerment against assault, in questions of nutrition and in the area of cleanliness education. In most cases, the principle of prohibitions or commandments no longer applies, but rather the approach of strengthening children’s control over their own bodies and giving them pleasure in doing so.
This development is still in its infancy in the area of cleanliness education; potty training and a kind of body-shaming of early childhood digestion are still rampant. However, there are signs that a self-determined approach is on the rise here too.
The fascination that the topic of digestion has always exerted on children is immense. Books such as “The Mole Who Wanted to Know Who Pooped on His Head” and “The Poop Sausage Factory” are examples of the change. Nevertheless, we still see a need to catch up in the musical field.
The album “A bunch of songs” contains a collection of cheerful, dramatic and heartfelt songs about the products of digestion. Children from the age of two to eight will experience a fun-oriented approach to a topic that is as exciting as it is taboo.
The songs help children feel welcome with literally everything they carry inside and put into the world.
The music is characterized by a mixture of classical children’s song aesthetics and modern pop music. Fun flute sounds meet stimulating rhythms and convey fun. Children aged 8-13 sing, and we were able to win Bela B. for a guest role on two songs.
