20 Jahre Jasper van’t Hofs PILI-PILI

Zum Jubiläum im Januar 2004 veröffentlichte JARO das Doppelalbum Post Scriptum in einer limitierten Auflage mit einem 40 seitigen, farbigen Buch (im Sonderformat 20 x 28 cm). Die erste CD enthält eine “Best of”-Mischung aus den frühen Jahren bis 1999, sie bietet einen historischen Überblick über die Arbeit von Jasper van’t Hof mit PILI PILI bis 1999.

Die Liedauswahl dieser CD ist ein Abbild der Entwicklung von Musikern und Projekt, ein Querschnitt durch das frühe musikalische Leben von PILI PILI, der zeigt, wie ein Stil geformt wird durch gemeinsame Arbeit, Erfahrungen und Experimente. Bei allen Veränderungen, die die Gruppe durchgemacht hat, war für alle das Wichtigste, dass sie sich mit dem Konzept und den Musikerkollegen wohl gefühlt haben und die Freiheit hatten, kreativ zu arbeiten.

Die zweite CD enthält nur Aufnahmen von PILI-PILI aus der Zeit von 2000 bis 2004, die bisher noch nicht auf CD veröffentlicht wurden, z. B. die Live-Version von Liedern mit dem Phikelela Sakhula Zulu Choir aus Südafrika und Live-Mitschnitte aus dem “Ballads of Timbuktu”-Programm.
