Sing Me a Song
18,00 €

Song X
I think we are going down
When the city rise, when the ocean rise
I think we are going down
So I hold on to you
And I hold on to you
And I h-h-h-h-h ….
I think God is breathing in
And if you didn’t believe well you better now
Because I think we are going down
But I don’t know
So I hold on to you
And I hold on to you
And I h-h-h-h-h …
Your hands on my hips
I say do you believe
That God is in your pleasure?
You know I believe, I believe, I believe
And the rhythm is good
So I hold…
And the birds sing when my baby cries
And the whole world is a song
And the wind blows when my baby sighs
And the whole world is a song
And my baby keeps a beat
When he’s walking down the street
And the rhythm is good
When I h-h-h-h-hold on to you
But I think we are going down
I hear the trumpet call and the marching band
I think we are going down
When the colours flash by so fast
And I think God is breathing in
And if you didn’t believe well you better now
Do you believe? Do you believe?
Do you believe that God is in your pleasure?
Well I believe
And the rhythm is good
When I h-h-h-h hold on to you
BAD BODY
I’ve got a body that screams
I’ve got a body that speaks for me
It’s a haunted, haunted body
And it’s been like this since I was seventeen
I’ve got a body that screams
Body, body, body you don’t listen to me
You’re a bad, bad, bad Body
And you’ve been like this since I was seventeen
But I’ve got no words
Except for the ones that cut
From my icy home
And I’ve got no words
But for the ones that break
From the thunderstorm
I’ve got a body that burns
When my thoughts are asleep
And I don’t need nothing
They say that girl looks free
Like Saint Theresa in ecstasy
And I’ve got a body that screams
No, no, no you don’t listen to me
Haunted bone and traitor skin
And you’ve been like this since before I was born
JEAN CLAUDE VAN DAMME
Jean Claude Van Damme you don’t know who i am
and i don’t know you personally
but you’ve been a big influence on me
to be sure i’m impressed by your muscles
and i’ve got a lot of relatives in brussels
but these things have got nothing to do
with the reason i’m writing to you
jean claude van damme
jean claude van damme
you don’t know who i am
but your courage and your honesty
had a profound impact upon me
it seems we share a similar chemical imbalance
which although might help to access certain talents
will eventually take its’ toll
and therefore must be brought under control
under control
oh you helped me to accept the situation
by extolling the effects of medication
and your straightforward yet eloquent description
gave me the strength to go ahead and fill my prescription
ever since my existence has been much better
which is why i am compelled to write this letter to you

BACK IN THE DAY
back in the day back in the hey-hey-hey-heyday
you were all the rage on avenue a back in the day
back in the day back in the hey-hey-hey-heyday
rattle my cage and i’d run wild all the way back in the day
born too late, torn t-shirt, tempting fate in those boots and that skirt
big-leg girl giving you a world of hurt
but we we were good for nothing
yeah we we were good for nothing
yeah we were good for nothing we were oh so good for nothing
oh when the saints oh when the saints came marching in
nobody paid no mind so they marched right back out again
LITTLE FISH
all the little fish in the deep blue sea are gonna miss your sweet and smiling face
but if i get my wish then you’ll wait for me and i’ll meet you in another place
and the sun will shine down upon your golden hair and you’ll show me your latest tattoo
and we’ll dance around the moon because we just won’t care and we’ll laugh like the angels do
tous les petit poissons dans la mer profond ils vont manquer ton douce et jolie visage
mais si le bon dieu m’entend,. tu pourrait m’attend on va danser et rigoler comme à la plâge
and the sun will shine down upon your golden hair and you’ll show me your latest tattoo
and we’ll dance around the moon because we just won’t care and we’ll laugh like the angels do
and all the little fish in the deep blue sea are gonna miss your sweet and smiling face
The Flood
Open mouth are open to the sky, is milky dry
searching, cracking, turning up the earth, oh water nigh
ooo… theres nothing left …. ooo
Corn for food and Corn for fuel, they grow, they grow large
Hunger for the speed and hunger more for syrups sweet
oooo their teeth are white, ooo their teeth fall out
Oh oh the Savior, the Savior comes with its great great clouds
oh steaming, oh steaming with rain
Lines across the sky intersect with lines, under the sea
bringing thoughts oh bringing thoughts to those, to those that need
oooo… they feed, ooo… they’re addicted
Fluorescent lights flicker oh oh in a box
Crosses burn oh crosses burn bright, they advertise
ooo… they watch, ooo… they’re blind
Oh oh the savior, the savior comes with its great great earth
spitting, oh spitting mud in their eyes
oh oh oh Fire burns the sky
Oh oh oh Dark clouds form above
Oh Oh oh the Fish fly away
Oh Oh oh the Trees run off
Oh oh the Savior, the Savior comes with its great great Flood
Oh washing oh washing them out
Spirit Dances Evermore
You’ve got the key, just turn the lock, the hinges creek
the door will crack your frozen soul
stuck in the engine of apparatus thoughts
Just open the door and listen, to the deep dark void
Oh your ancestors call you, your ancestors dance
Otwórz, otwórz, twoje drzwi
Otwórz otwóry twoją klatke
i znajdzieś, znajdzieś miłość i siebie
i znajdzieś, znajdzieś duchy….
ah ah ah ah…..
Your fluttered heart, trapped in a cage
with wings to fly, open up your ribs
your bones will break the steel will burst
your blood will run, give yourself up already
and listen to the keep dark void
Oh your ancestors call you
your ancestors dance
Otwórz, otwórz twoje drzwi
Otwórz otwórz twoją klatke
i znajdzieś, znajdzieś miłość i siebie
i znajdzieś, znajdzieś duchy….
ah ah ah ah…..
Your body shakes and trembles
Your mind cracks open
Your heart is on the floor
Your spirit dances evermore
Your bodies shaking, your bones are breaking,
the tones of the music are collaborating with your blood
your thought, your love and naught
Every move is gone is sensation
Your mind cracks open, rocks are rolling
the fissures in your mind are ever-exploding
Volcanoes boom, Dreams a bloom!
Freedom ablaze in your cranium en-hazed!
Coeur, Heart, Serce, Corazon.
No matter how you break it, it tempers the soul
Rage, Rapture, Passion, Hate
Regardless of it all we collaborate
Sirens wailing, spirits exhaling, in the essence
your breath, your excitement is reeling
Your ancestors dancing, prancing, trancing
Taking your fever to the vital force!
Otwórz, otwórz twoje drzwi, Otwórz otwórz twoją klatke…
i znajdzieś, znajdzieś miłość i siebie
i znajdzieś, znajdzieś duchy….
ah ah ah ah…..

Hello Goodbye
Head full of booze
and the rest of me’s a wreck
The reaper is a breathin‘ down
the back of my neck
Hang on boys and girls
Cause we’re goin straight ta heck
All yer wishin didn’t get you anywhere
Hello, my friends
I came by to say farewell
It’s been nice to know ya
And I’ll see y’all in hell
When I get there rest assured
I’m gonna ring that bell
To let the Devil know
I have arrived
Tell me a story
About happier days
Back before the world
Became wild and crazed
Full speed ahead
If you can see thru the haze
Keep rowing ‚til the sky turns blue
Hello, my friends
I came by to say farewell
It’s been nice to know ya
And I’ll see y’all in hell
When I get there rest assured
I’m gonna ring that bell
To let the Devil know
I have arrived
Yer pennies are spilling
from the mouth of the well
I’d wallow with the pigs
If I could tolerate the smell
I will have my cake and devour it as well
Isn’t life a beautiful train wreck?
Hello, my friends
I came by to say farewell
It’s been nice to know ya
And I’ll see y’all in hell
When I get there rest assured
I’m gonna ring that bell
To let the Devil know
I have arrived
Wildflowers (Dolly Parton)
The hills were alive with wildflowers
And i was as wild, even wilder than they
For at least i could run, they just died in the sun
And i refused to just wither in place
Just a wild mountain rose, needing freedom to grow
So i ran fearing not where i’d go
When a flower grows wild, it can always survive
Wildflowers don’t care where they grow
And the flowers i knew in the fields where i grew
Were content to be lost in the crowd
They were common and close, i had no room for growth
I wanted so much to branch out
I uprooted myself from home ground and left
Took my dreams and i took to the road
When a flower grows wild, it can always survive
Wildflowers don’t care where they grow
I grew up fast and wild and i never felt right
In a garden so different from me
I just never belonged, i just longed to be gone
So the garden, one day, set me free
Hitched a ride with the wind and since he was my friend
I just let him decide where we’d go
When a flower grows wild, it can always survive
Wildflowers don’t care where they grow
I´m so lonesome I could cry (Hank Williams)
Hear that lonesome whippoorwill
He sounds too blue to fly
The midnight train is whining low
I’m so lonesome I could cry
I’ve never seen a night so long
When time goes crawling by
The moon just went behind the clouds
To hide its face and cry
Did you ever see a robin weep
When leaves begin to die?
Like me, he’s lost the will to live
I’m so lonesome I could cry
The silence of a falling star
Lights up a purple sky
And as I wonder where you are
I’m so lonesome I could cry
The Girl in Hannover
Far from you I write
Hoping these letters will
Find you alright
Cos there’s a girl in Hannover
Feigning confidence with a stranger
And I am just waiting for this
Day to come.
When I will darken your doorstep
And travel those miles
Cos you know one man’s triumph
Is another man’s trial.
Well the mornings are sunny
But the nights are so cold
But the seasons are changing
Or so I’ve been told
And there’s a girl in Santa Cruz
Still fighting the blues
So I am just waiting for that
Day to come.
Where you will darken my doorstep
And travel those miles
Cos you know one man’s triumph
Is another man’s trial
All the while I will never
Conquer.
Well you said you would visit
See the city in the winter
But I still await
This fantasy visitor
Cos there’s a girl in my nightdress
Pouring coffee for my temptress
So I have stopped waiting for that
Day to come
Cos there’s a girl writing letters
Peeling pictures from her wall
Those jeering smiles now
Face down in cardboard
But if you close a window
Someone opens a door
So I am still waiting for that day to come.

Better Me
Work as waitress
Pouring coffee, laying tables
It’s the default role
For someone artsy with no credentials
It’s not fine dining
But the most discerning of places
But the smears on the window
Distort the nicest of faces.
So if you recognise me
Then won’t you liberate me
Come and say how much you love me
And I will use your contacts to better me.
Local news reporter
Comes to dine at our venue
So I slip him a flyer
As I hand him the menu
It was a shrewd idea
From my marketing knowledge
Born from average grades
A a mediocre college.
Mother, why’d you tell me
That my star shone bright today
It’s all midnight black
And newspaper grey
Mother, won’t you tell me
If I learnt my lesson well
Cos that path is littered
By the bones of those who tried and failed.
